We had yet another Riley Hospital visit yesturday for a check up on-how-Ethan's- progress/recovery is doing since surgery. It was another long day on the road and @ the hospital for lil man, but yet again he was a trooper. Doc told us that Ethan so far looks great, and looks as if everything is healing nicely. This all was music to our ears. Our and I think everyone's biggest concern after a major surgery is infection. We are so lucky that Ethan is doing well, and has had no risks at all. The only concern we had today for the doctor was Ethan's "random pains" he is having throughout the day. He will be playing happily and then all of a sudden cry in pain...so sad! Doc said it is all apart of the healing process.
Ethan is simply worn out from the hospital ~ doctor setting not to mention his "long" recovery itself. Since his surgery he has been terrified of doctors, where before surgery he was okay with them. We have a little one who is very smart and knows what the "hospital" is. This all just breaks my heart! Hopefully this will get better with time, think positive right? Part Two- St. Patty's Day Fun!!!
We ended our day with some much needed fun. I was SUPER excited because one of my best friends Ashley and her oh so adorable ~ sweetie ~ pie son were in town for the afternoon. We met at our sweet friend Jen's house who is expecting her first little boy soon! Her awesome hubby surprised her with a visit to family back at home last minute, so since we were both in town, we made sure to get together. It's so fun because last year for St. Patty's Day her and Jack came and visited out at our house. So, getting together two years in a row is just plain AWESOME! Ashley the amazing photographer she is took pictures of the boys( those pics to come soon)! It was a BLAST! We already miss them!!!! On our way home we ate a yummy dinner and talked how lucky we are to have such a good little boy that gives us so much inspiration in life! Oh, and I cannot leave out stopping at Petco to see the animals " ethan's request"!
