Last Day of Preschool

Today was Ethan's last day of his first year of preschool.  I cannot believe my 3 year old is done with his first year of school, time flies so fast! I remember like it was just yesterday getting ready for Ethan's very first day of school. I drove away an emotional mess after dropping him off for the first time. My baby, who had just turned 3 was growing up, yet I was so excited and happy for him.
Ethan's teacher is super proud on how much Ethan has learned this school year, growing so much in all areas ....maturing so much for his age. Nathan and I, along with my family are also so very proud of Ethan!  Here are some highlights from this school year...
Ethan's vocabulary is out of this world good! His counting is fantastic ( he even enjoys some addition and subtraction, his teacher rocks). Ethan can spell his name and he wants to "try" and spell  out words (he likes to write the letter you say and then says what he just wrote ), it's just awesome! Hopefully by next year he will be reading some, he is getting close ! Ethan knows his address (not to mention everyone in our family address too). He is getting better at his days of the week , months and seasons. He has an eye for patterns, it's a talent! I could go on and on about knowing  his colors and knowing what an "author of a book is" or listening to directions and becoming independent .....All in all, he has learned so much!!!!
There are most defiantly things he needs to improve on so, I plan on working on these things this summer. We couldn't have had a better year, it was absolutely perfect.
We are super thankful for such an amazing teacher that worked so hard with Ethan and his classmates. She is truly special! I believe Ethan would not be where he was at without his awesome teacher to get him there. Ethan has become really close with her, he honestly talks about her everyday. He loved school from day one, and cried some days he did not have school.  We are already looking forward to next year. As for the summer, like I said we will continue to work on the areas he needs help with so that we can stay on track and are ready to go!
This morning we woke up extra early to head off to Ethan's last day of school. We wanted to get Ethan's teacher and assistant their  favorite coffee drink from a local coffee shop. We also had his teacher's handmade gift to deliver and snack for the kids. Ethan was super excited to do all of this! I even had the opportunity to come early to class to watch all of the kiddos play games, it was just too sweet! Today was perfect, and we will miss school. We are looking forward to our summer and have lots planned!

The picture on the left was Ethan's first day and the right picture was from today. I thought it would be fun to put him in the same shirt!

Here are some pictures from today....

Acting Super Silly as Always

Ethan signed his name on the back of our "flower pot" Teacher Gift.  The gift was super fun to make! It had chalkboard paint where you could write on it! We wrote "Thank You For Helping Me Grow" Love Ethan (thank.you.pinterest)

Beautiful Weekend

This past weekend was a blast! Beautiful weather and fun times with the family.  This time last year (after Nathan and I finding out we were expecting) my sister Shannon and Adam surprised us that they were expecting too! A year later our babies are only 3 short weeks apart! I took many many pictures... I could not help myself. It was Hudsons and Alainas  first time in the pool. We all had a great Memorial Day weekend! We are now into summer mode around here! Here is a picture overload.....If you really know me...you know I LOVE LOVE LOVE taking pictures !!!!

Tuesday Talk

A couple weekend ago Nathan had his childhood friend Noah with his wife and new daughter Norah  visited for the weekend. The boys went to a Cubs game with awesome seats one day while the mommies and babies went shopping. We also went to dinner in Michigan one night! After dinner we took them for a walk down by the lake. It was a great weekend! Norah was so sweet, we were happy to finally have meet her! My boys loved her. I made Norah a fun tutu and bought some summer dresses! They spoiled Hudson with some adorable clothes!

These kiddos are too cute!

Grandma and I took Ethan and Hudson to the root beer stand for their first time. Hudson slept the entire time ha! Ethan however, enjoyed every minute of our lunch date. He thought it was so cool to drink out of a mug! He loved eating on a bench outside and watching them bring everyone their food!
Ja Ja & Hudson.... Love them!

Ethan is always super excited to be the first to go into Hudson's room when he wakes for his nap. I LOVE watching them, it's priceless!
