Blessed. We are truly blessed that god gave us Ethan. Ethan is our world, and we are so thankful that god chose us to be Ethan’s parents. Ethan is now 8 months old, and he is such a wonderful baby. Since his surgery, he has been doing great! Ethan is so strong; nothing seems to hold our baby back.
Ethan still has no teeth, but we can see his bottom teeth through his gums …. As if they will push through any day now. He has been in a lot of pain from teething, but handles it well. As for crawling, he crawls in his own kind of way (scooting). It is almost like he wants to skip crawling and go straight to pulling up on things and walk ha! Ethan thinks he can pick up anything- and I mean anything!
Ethan :
-You enjoy bath time. You would stay in the water all day if I let you.
- You LOVE when we read to you. If we talk the voice of the character you laugh.
-Your ultimate favorite thing to do is clap your hands to all music. Your favorite song to dance/sing “hmmmm” to continues to be Jack’s Music Show theme song on Noggin.
-You still wake up one / or two times a night but will go back to sleep immediately after eating. Most importantly, you finally go to bed at night immediately after our routine. (Nursing- prayer- rocking.)
- You are infatuated with Dora. You now give our dog Dora food that you are eating all the time. You laugh when Dora chases you on your push toy.
- You still take 3 naps a day … not everyday… not that lucky ha!
- You love peek-a-boo- and when we make silly faces at you.
- You LOVE Mr. Vacuum. –What can I say I clean a lot ha! When you see the vacuum you go crazy about it!
- You are not so sure of strangers; you will pucker up immediately and cry.
- You are a definite mama’s boy ha!
- You LOVE to eat- you have to have two servings of everything. You are not satisfied with one jar of baby food, you want two. The past two months you were thinning out, but now You are starting to get chunky again.
- Your facial expressions are priceless- you are so entertaining.
It almost seems as if Ethan is doing something new everyday. Nathan and I love every minute of being parents, we have never been this happy. There is not a day that goes by that we do not pray for Ethan. We pray that he continues to do so well and stay healthy. He has had some ups and downs with his mild condition Prune Belly, but Ethan is such a strong fighter. We have all our faith in little Ethan… he is truly AMAZING!
This month is somewhat hard for us. I say somewhat because it is hard but then again it is going to be okay. Last year at this time we found the exciting news that we were expecting a baby boy, but our baby boy had kidney issues. Nothing was promised for Ethan’s future, and we were to be considered a “high risk pregnancy”. Well, this time last year was so devastating for us, but this year it is a different story. We have a healthy, strong, beautiful baby boy that has an extremely PROMISING future. We are so BLESSED to have such a true miracle. A beautiful gift from god! We love you baby boy .....Happy Eight Months!
