Blessed.......... Revised Post.

revised: Many questions were asked about Ethan's visit on Wednesday. I hope this answers some of them. Thank you all for caring so much and wanting to know about our little Ethan. All in all, Ethan's kidney's and ureter are looking better. Being a Prune Belly patient, his urinary tract will ALWAYS look larger. Since things were looking really good they want to wait to perform surgery on Ethan until he is two years old. Hopefully by then they will not have to do as much as they thought on Ethan. The number one thing they will be doing on his next surgery will be pulling his tummy together.... like a tummy tuck. This will help Ethan as he grows older. Ethan is doing great and that is a beautiful blessing. He is so strong. We did not see his cardiologist at this appointment, when we do I will update everyone:)
THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH FOR YOUR PRAYERS,SUPPORT, AND QUESTIONS. They mean the world to us and we feel so blessed to have you all in our lives.
Hope this helps with the questions.... and I am sorry if it sounds confusing. It is hard to type everything at once... and remember everything from the appointment:)
Look who's Feeling Better!
Yesterday we took Ethan to Riley Hospital for his urology appointment. I do not even know where to begin, so much happened all in one day. It was such a joyful day at Riley for all of us. As soon as we arrived Ethan was greeted with a toy by a lady receptionist who knew him from his previous visits. Ethan was being a complete ham for her. Then, Ethan had to get his ultrasound done on his kidneys and such. Ethan was very scared of this but the sweet technician made it so easy for us with Ethan. She brought him a cool gadget where he can watch television and push buttons so he would calm down a bit. It is hard as parents to watch your baby get so upset and scared... but it means the world when someone tries to make it so much better for your little one. Riley is such an amazing place, beautiful things happen there:)

After Ethan's Ultrasound we meet up with Ethan's specialist Dr. Kaefer to go over everything. We heard blessing after blessing. Nathan and I still cannot remember the exact words that we were told but it sounded something like this...........

"Ethan is doing Fantastic" "Everything looks great on Ethan"......

Basically, Ethan's doctor compared pictures of Ethan's urinary tract (kidneys, bladder, ureter, etc...) from when he was born, 4 months old, and now at ten months.

He was happy with what he was seeing. We were told that Ethan's condition "Prune Belly Syndrome aka Triad Syndrome" was extremely mild at this point. He told us that he wanted to hold off on surgery until Ethan is 2 years old because it appears as if while Ethan is growing things are looking better ( like his right Kidney and his ureter that once was extremely extended.) So, no surgery until Ethan is two! We do not have to return to Riley Hospital until January.

This is all a BLESSING. It is so hard to even write in words how blessed we feel.
WE ARE BLESSED AND WE THANK OUR LORD!

Ethan in his New "Big Boy" Car seat on the way to Riley Hospital! Ethan was being so silly with a straw.... By the way .....our baby refuses to sleep in the car for more than 30 minutes! Lets just say it takes allot longer to travel these days!

We were so excited to meet up with Lisa and Tony. We all had such a nice little lunch. It was way to sweet to watch the boys hang out together for the first time! Nathan and I enjoyed catching up with Lisa, we miss her way to much! We just love tony he is so adorable! We hope to watch the boys hang out again soon! The visit was to short!

Ethan cannot wait to have Mac and Cheese like Tone Tone!

Tickle Monster:)

No way could we get these cute kiddos to both look at the camera....impossible.... Still a Cute picture! Ethan wants Tone Tone's drink ha!
Tone Tone is way to cute for Words!

Lisa loving on Ethan !

Ethan thinks he can push his stroller at ten months old. He did this in the waiting room.... it was a show for everyone to see. He is such a fun baby!

Ethan loves lights. While waiting for our Doctor he kept looking up at the ceiling while saying "lah ligh ligh" and ohhhhh. It was so darn funny!
On our way home from Indianapolis, we made a quick trip to meet up with Monica and Ashlee. Monica was also in Indianapolis for the day! The visit with these girls was short and sweet, we had way to much fun. We already miss them! How cute is Ashlee's dog? Ethan loved him:)
Look at Ethan with his Beautiful girlfriends:)

Monica and Ethan are so sweet together!

Oh and one more thing..........About a week ago, Daddy took Ethan to go "run errands". I had no clue what these errands consisted of. I felt like these errands were taking forever, so I called to check on my boys. When I called, I heard Ethan talking away and being silly. Nathan informed me they were busy but would be on their way soon. Well, before I knew it Daddy and Ethan came through the door walking together. Ethan was laughing at his feet and stomping them, I noticed he had new shoes on. Daddy told me that Ethan was obsessed with the shoe place and was even more obsessed with wearing his first pair of tennis shoes:) It was way to cute:) I just had to post these pictures for Ethan to see in the future!

WE HOPE EVERYONE HAS A HAPPY AND SAFE FOURTH OF JULY!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations! I know how scary it is to have a sick baby. So happy that Ethan is doing so much better and things continue to improve for him. Looking forward to seeing you hopefully when we are back in the states! By the way, are those Puma's that Ethan is wearing? Puma's are all Nolan wears, you could say they are his "signature" shoe! Someone got him a pair when he was a little one like Ethan and that's all he has wore every since! Love them...take care!
