Blessed! 8 Months Old!

EIGHT MONTHS OLD

Blessed. We are truly blessed that god gave us Ethan. Ethan is our world, and we are so thankful that god chose us to be Ethan’s parents. Ethan is now 8 months old, and he is such a wonderful baby. Since his surgery, he has been doing great! Ethan is so strong; nothing seems to hold our baby back.
Ethan still has no teeth, but we can see his bottom teeth through his gums …. As if they will push through any day now. He has been in a lot of pain from teething, but handles it well. As for crawling, he crawls in his own kind of way (scooting). It is almost like he wants to skip crawling and go straight to pulling up on things and walk ha! Ethan thinks he can pick up anything- and I mean anything!

Ethan :
-You enjoy bath time. You would stay in the water all day if I let you.
- You LOVE when we read to you. If we talk the voice of the character you laugh.
-Your ultimate favorite thing to do is clap your hands to all music. Your favorite song to dance/sing “hmmmm” to continues to be Jack’s Music Show theme song on Noggin.
-You still wake up one / or two times a night but will go back to sleep immediately after eating. Most importantly, you finally go to bed at night immediately after our routine. (Nursing- prayer- rocking.)
- You are infatuated with Dora. You now give our dog Dora food that you are eating all the time. You laugh when Dora chases you on your push toy.
- You still take 3 naps a day … not everyday… not that lucky ha!
- You love peek-a-boo- and when we make silly faces at you.
- You LOVE Mr. Vacuum. –What can I say I clean a lot ha! When you see the vacuum you go crazy about it!
- You are not so sure of strangers; you will pucker up immediately and cry.
- You are a definite mama’s boy ha!
- You LOVE to eat- you have to have two servings of everything. You are not satisfied with one jar of baby food, you want two. The past two months you were thinning out, but now You are starting to get chunky again.
- Your facial expressions are priceless- you are so entertaining.
It almost seems as if Ethan is doing something new everyday. Nathan and I love every minute of being parents, we have never been this happy. There is not a day that goes by that we do not pray for Ethan. We pray that he continues to do so well and stay healthy. He has had some ups and downs with his mild condition Prune Belly, but Ethan is such a strong fighter. We have all our faith in little Ethan… he is truly AMAZING!
This month is somewhat hard for us. I say somewhat because it is hard but then again it is going to be okay. Last year at this time we found the exciting news that we were expecting a baby boy, but our baby boy had kidney issues. Nothing was promised for Ethan’s future, and we were to be considered a “high risk pregnancy”. Well, this time last year was so devastating for us, but this year it is a different story. We have a healthy, strong, beautiful baby boy that has an extremely PROMISING future. We are so BLESSED to have such a true miracle. A beautiful gift from god! We love you baby boy .....Happy Eight Months!

This toy has been the best toy Ethan may have received from his baby shower! This toy allows me to take a shower everyday! It entertains Ethan the entire time! Ethan is 7 months old in this picture!

Ethan's First Easter!

Easter was simply perfect! The Easter Bunny visited Ethan , and Ethan seemed to love it! At first, we were unsure about doing an Easter basket because of Ethan being so little, but Nathan and I were so glad we did! Ethan loved his Easter basket and taking gifts out of it. He smiled and talked the entire time. Nathan and I put pacifiers. books, teethers etc.. in Ethan's basket! We think Ethan enjoyed the fake grass more than anything... this was expected. We were so excited to celebrate the meaning of Easter all weekend , ex specially at church! I was hoping Ethan would make it throughout the entire service but, after a couple of songs and prayer Ethan and I headed to our church nursery. Ethan was a big show off, he clapped and hmmmed during the songs at church. He was so funny ! After church we ate a huge Delicious meal with family. After eating, we went to my mom and dad's to play outside with Ethan and watch him get spoiled more with another Easter basket from Grammie- and Dazi !

Easter Party!

The Easter Party was WAY TO MUCH FUN for Ethan and Burke! The food was yummy, the play dates for the babies and kiddos went well, it was a perfect party! Luckily, Ethan had a huge nap ( 2 hrs) to be exact before we arrived. Ethan was energized and ready to play! The toddlers had a Easter Egg hunt in the back yard. Ethan and Burke watched the toddlers from the window :) ! Ethan and Burke exchanged eggs during the party it was such a great hit for the boys, they loved it! The eggs were filled with cars, pacifiers, puffs, yogurt graduates, and Mums! The boys loved shaking the eggs to make a sound! These are just a few of the pictures I took! Ethan seemed to enjoy the Easter bunny. Ethan put his pacifier in his mouth immediately when he sat on the Easter Bunny's lap it was almost like his pacifier soothed him! Burke.... well.... just look at the pictures.... they say it all! Burke was not a big fan of the good ol Easter Bunny! By the way the bunny does look kind of scary doesn't he? If I was Burke I would cry to! Burke is so adorable in his outfit!!!! I am so happy we joined the Moms club!
These pictures below, were from late this afternoon after Ethan took another long nap or the day! He was being so cute, I just had to put the hat back on and start taking pictures like a crazy mama! I cannot wait to take pictures of Ethan on Sunday in his Easter Outfit!

Ethan LOVES his Auntie Shannon & Uncle Adam!

These two pictures are simply PRICELESS! They were from today! Ethan thought it was so funny to sit in the laundry basket while Daddy pushed him in it!

Before the weekend, my mom (grammie) , Ethan, and I went to visit Aunt Shannon ( my sister) & Uncle Adam ! Ethan loves to visit them! It was so sweet to see how much Ethan missed them! I feel very blessed that Ethan can see them every weekend if not every other weekend. Ethan and Shannon are so cute together!
Uncle Adam came home from work!!! Aunt Shannon could not wait to get home from work to play with Ethan!

Busy Baby!

Ethan had such a fun yet busy weekend! He is almost crawling, and knows how to clap his hands together for patty cake. He is so cute!

Ethan's Mi Mi came to visit along with Ethan's cousins on Sunday! Ethan loves spending time with them, he misses them already. This picture is so cute of you Mi Mi!

These pictures below are of my best friend Lisa and Ethan this past weekend. Ethan was OBSESSED with Lisa. Ethan's eyes were on Lisa her entire visit. The played so much together. I was so thankful for her company. It was so kind of Lisa and her husband "J-Dog " to show support with Ethan, buy ordering Team Ethan shirts. Ethan misses you Lisa! They are so good to Ethan. Nathan and I want to thank our family and friends for supporting Ethan, it means the WORLD to us! Lisa and Ethan look GREAT in their shirts don't they??? Ethan also wants to thank the Dubords for ordering "RILEY HOSPITAL" license plates in honor of Ethan! Again, thanks to our FAMILY and FRIENDS for all of your kind support! These pictures below are from a birthday party on Saturday we attended. Our family friends had their grandson's First Birthday! Ethan played so much, we had such a great time!
