Pumpkin Carving Time!!!

Ethan became really excited about helping Mommy and Daddy carve our pumpkins...... In fact, he was talking like crazy about what he wanted his pumpkin to look like. Ethan's request was having Blues Clues on his pumpkin. So ,,,, that's exactly what we did!! Nathan and I were loving that Ethan was interested in helping and actually know what we were doing with the pumpkins this year. However.....
As soon as Ethan actually investigated what that icky, slimy, gooey stuff was inside the pumpkin...........................................
                                                       He really ....
Could care less about touching what was inside of the pumpkin... Ethan suddenly was "over" helping us!
It was simply priceless to watch Ethan's facial expressions and listen to what he had to say about everything,We always have a good time with our little man! As soon as it became dark outside we made the pumpkins "glow" with lights inside them. This was Ethan's favorite part. What a fun activity to do as a family:)

Visiting Uncle Robert on his Birthday & Riley Hospital Visit

This past couple days we have been out of town visiting Uncle Robert and going back to Riley Hospital for Ethan's urology check up. We were so excited to stay with Uncle Robert and Kari the night before our Riley visit. It was actually my brother's birthday!!! Nathan, Ethan, and I took Robert out to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings for a fun Birthday Dinner. Then after dinner, Uncle Robert wanted to take Ethan to a place called Money Joes. This place was SUPER FUN. We all enjoyed being kids ha!  Visiting Uncle Robert and Kari the day before Riley Appointments have been so nice. When we wake up for a long day at Riley we are only an hour away plus we always have way to much fun there. Here are some pictures from our visit.

Ethan loved taking a tubby at Uncle  Robert's. He is a big fan of their kitties.

Ethan's testing at Riley went really smoothly. This visit he ONLY had to have a simple ultrasound. We were so thankful for this! During Ethan's visit, his ultrasound revealed that his urinary tract looks the same as it did 2 months ago when testing was done. So basically, our visit consisted of them comparing pictures ( of bladder, ureter,  kidneys)  and numbers of kidney function to previous visits since birth. Ethan's urologist sent us home with comfortable news. He told us that since nothing has gotten worse and since things have simply stayed the same we were fine to go home and come back in 4 whole months!!! We talked a little about a "possible" surgery in the future but, so far we are not having to do this surgery. This is all wonderful news. We are so thankful that Ethan is doing so well lately. We thanked god for blessing us with good news. Thank you all for your support and prayers during this visit. We pray and hope that Ethan continues to do well!
Here is my Little Guy during his Riley Visit! Hes such a trooper, always smiling no matter what!

Our Pumpkin Patch Adventures.....

This year we took our Lil' pumpkin to the Pumpkin Patch Twice! I love that we have made this a family tradition each year.
Ethan enjoyed every minute of our pumpkin patch adventures. He understood every activity we did at both farms. As always, he was such a fun kiddo! The first patch we went to this past week was a local one around here. For our first pumpkin patch visit, our crew consisted of Daddy, Ja Ja (my dad), Ethan and I. Since Nathan was going to be busy this weekend he wanted to take Ethan and enjoy this fun experience with him. Nathan is such a great Daddy, he never wants to miss a thing with Ethan! Here are "just some" of my favorite pictures of Adventure #1 ................

For our second Pumpkin Patch Adventure, we went with my side of the family. Ethan LOVED every minute of this family trip. This year we went somewhere closer to us since everyone was in town celebrating my Brother Robert's Birthday. This farm had many activities for Ethan, let's just say by the time we left he was BEAT! As a family, we all had some great times laughing, talking, picking out pumpkins, and watching Ethan play. He sure is busy! He talks from the moment he wakes to the moment he goes "night night"! He never misses a beat! Here are pictures from Adventure #2, the weather this day turned out to be very HOT!!! ..........

One last Picture of my Lil' Pumpkin in his Pajamas.. Hope You all Have a great Week! Please pray for us as we head back to Riley Hospital.

Weekend Fun and a Birthday Party!

This weekend was really fun for us!!!!!
~We started off our weekend by meeting our good friend Katie and her princess Lyla for good talks, coffee, and snacks at one of my favorite coffee spots.

Little Miss Lyla and Ethan enjoying their snacks while us Mamas talked, it was super fun!
We played allot in our backyard this weekend!

I had to share these two pictures.  Above is Ethan last year and below Ethan this year around the same time of the year!! I took this picture last year when  Ethan had just started to really learn how to walk (month after his 1st birthday) . He began walking from flower to flower while digging into the dirt  laughing. I remember this 'first" moment so clearly. I even caught it on video.  I thought it was really fun to look how much Ethan has changed from last year. My two year old now.... (I think it is so neat that both pics are so similar)

Saturday, My mom and I took Ethan to his friend  Benjamin's 4th Birthday Party, The theme was SUPER FUN,  it was a "rodeo" theme. They had so much for the kids to do out on this nice farm. The farm had a pony named "Frosty" that each kid had the chance to ride all over the farm.  Ethan kept saying "mee haw" for yee-haw over and over, we were laughing so hard. All the kids looked so cute dressed up to the party theme! Thankfully, Ethan's new Cowboy shirt and boots came in the mail from Gymboree the day before the party so he had his outfit! The weather was beautiful! It was a perfect Fall day out in the country. The decorations, cake, and party favors were so CUTE! We all had a blast, and wish Benjamin a happy 4th Birthday!

                              Adorable Cake!!!

Ethan decorating a pumpkin with the Birthday Boy!

Today Nathan's dad  traveled to see us. I made my chili and we have been watching football all day.

We have enjoyed watching Ethan play toys with his Paw!  I like that this weekend we were able to get many things done around the house while still having fun. Hope you have a great week!
