Ethan Update!!!
Hello!! Hello! I could not wait to finally get on here and update our blog. It is so exciting our little monkey is six weeks old already. Nathan and I are loving our new family and feel blessed as each day goes by. We are all doing great. Nathan is in the process of closing his store Steve & Barry's and relocating to another one, so he has been busy back at work. If Nathan is not at work he is spending every minute with Ethan. I have been enjoying being a stay at home mommy. Ethan and I have had so much fun this past month with going on walks, shopping, and spending time with family and Friends.
On Saturday September 13th, was Ethan's Baby Shower. It was so much fun. My sister and mother did an amazing job planning it. I did not have to do one thing !! It was a jungle themed shower. My sister thought that would be a good ideal because Ethan's nursery is the same theme. My two close Friends Jenny and Ashley did really neat games at my shower. One was pass the dirty diaper.. it was so funny. Nathan and I were so thankful for all of the wonderful gifts and to enjoy the day with our close family and Friends.
Last Wednesday my mother and I took Ethan to his one month check up. Ethan's pediatrician was very pleased with how well our little Ethan is doing. He commented on how alert Ethan is for his age, and how well he can lift his head. Ethan was quite the show off for his doctor. My mother and I just could not believe our eyes. Ethan's nurse weighed Ethan in at 11 pounds 11 ounces and 23 inches. Ethan did receive his one month old shot, but handled it very well I shall say. Of course my mom and I gave him thousands of kisses and hugs to comfort him. As we were leaving Ethan's doctor's office my dad surprised us and was in the waiting room just to say hi and give Ethan a kiss. It was so precious. Ethan has been enjoying tummy time and his new toys. I love reading to him, and playing his baby Einstein CD'S. Just today he smiled when I said his name and I started jumping up and down. Ethan loves to make so many noises they are all so exciting to listen to. Luckily, Ethan is sleeping better due to our schedule we are trying with him. Ethan wakes up only two times a night for changing and feeding.
Ethan is growing so fast it seems, we love to watch him grow. Nathan and I feel as if Ethan is very advanced for his age. Ethan is truly amazing!!! I have to go now and post some recent pictures before the prince wakes up and needs his mama!!!

Update on Ethan & Ethan's Riley visit!!!!

Hello everyone! As of tomorrow Ethan is already a month old. Wow has time flown by so fast with Ethan. Ethan is such a good baby. He still only seems to cry or get upset when his diaper is dirty or needs to be fed. He has such a funny personality already. He defiantly knows his mama and dada. Nathan and Ethan defiantly have such a special bond. They are so adorable together. Nathan has no problem with this daddy business stuff, in fact if I would let him he would do everything for Ethan. Ethan has continued to wake up at least 3 to 4 times a night. It is getting easier for him to fall back asleep immediately compared to two three weeks ago. We have been so busy lately with friends and family visiting and spending time with Ethan. In the pas tweek we have taken Ethan shopping.. my mom and I joke and call him a "Mall Baby" , because he is so content when we go out and about shopping. When we compared Ethan to a 3 month old baby we saw at the Mall Ethan looked huge. He is a big baby.
Yesterday we had a very early appointment at Riley Hospital for Ethan. It was quite the experience for Nathan and I with a newborn traveling after waking at 4am to leave. Ethan's appointment was a renal exam to see exactly how his kidneys were working/functioning after birth. The exam itself was very hard on us and Ethan. Ethan cried so hard. He had to get an IV and a catheter put in for this exam. The exam took 45 minutes ... but felt like forever with Ethan. I know everyone has said that newborns are to little to remember stuff like this but seeing him so upset killed us. After the test we were told the appointment we had for the next day was cancelled because Ethan's amazing Dr. was able to see us the same day to give us the results of Ethans renal exam. They were very nice to work with us knowing that we had a three hour drive. WE were so happy because we did not want to wait until the next day to see his doctor and hear such big news for our baby boy.We had to travel to Avon just to see the doctor for the results. The only bad part is that we had to wait a long long time in the docs office with a grumpy newborn. When we meet with ethans doc he told us that Ethan's KIDNEYS WERE BOTH WORKING they way they should. WE WERE SO HAPPY AND THANKFUL for such a blessing.
After such great news .... we made plans to meet with our friend Ashlee back at the IUPUI campus... (right next to Riley) to take Ethan's professional newborn pictures. Ashlee is such a wonderful photographer. she worked so well with Ethan. After such a stressful long morning we made for such a fun afternoon then headed to home sweet home to share the news with our family.
I am going to post the pictures Ashlee took of Ethan enjoy....
